Studio is a video editor and a photo editor that run in your browser. Your videos, images, audio and projects stay on your own machine unless you choose to save a project to the cloud or to your Google Drive. An account is optional: you only need one for the AI features, which are paid from prepaid credit kept on your account, and for cloud projects. There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising anywhere in this app.
Studio is provided by Bee Happy Club Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14100839, registered office 19 Courtlands, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 2PT, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@bee-happy.club. The policy for all our apps is at code-red.app/privacy; this page covers what is specific to Studio.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier through Firebase Authentication. We use these only to identify your account and to show who is signed in. The same account works in our other apps.
The AI features run on prepaid credit (1 credit = 1p). We keep your credit balance, a record of each credit purchase (amount, date, payment reference), and one usage row per AI call: which kind of call it was, which AI provider and model answered, how many tokens it used, what it cost us and how many credits it cost you. You can see your balance and recent use in the app under AI & credit. We do not keep your prompts, the pictures or audio you send, or what the AI sends back.
Credit is bought through Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see them. We receive the payment's reference, amount and status so we can add the credit to your account.
If you are signed in and save a project to the cloud, the project file and, for photo documents, the pictures in it are stored against your account (up to 200 MB). Video source files are never uploaded: a video project refers to files you already have.
When you are signed in, your interface preferences (such as the theme) and the editing preferences and rules you give the AI are kept against your account so they follow you to another computer.
Our hosting and server functions (Google Firebase) keep standard operational logs — IP address, timestamp and which request was made — used to run and debug the service. They never contain your prompts or media.
Your media files, local projects, timeline state and interface preferences are stored in your
browser using localStorage and IndexedDB. They do not reach our servers.
Clearing your browser storage deletes them, and we cannot recover them.
Exporting a video or a picture happens entirely in your browser and needs no account. The exported file is never uploaded to us.
Connecting Google Drive is optional and the app works fully without it. When you connect it,
we request a single permission scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file.
This is deliberately the narrowest Drive permission available: it gives the app access
only to
The app cannot browse, list or read the rest of your Drive, and cannot see the contents of a folder you merely select. Files move directly between your browser and Google — they do not pass through our servers. Your Drive access token is held in memory for the duration of your session, is never written to storage, and is never sent to us. You can disconnect at any time from the Drive menu, which revokes the permission.
Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you use an AI feature, the content needed for that one request goes from your browser to our server function and from there to the AI provider we route that kind of request to — today Google Gemini, and possibly OpenAI or DeepSeek if we change the routing. Depending on what you ask for, this may include your chat messages, frames captured from your video, a picture or part of one, or audio to be transcribed or text to be spoken. The provider processes it under its own terms as our processor; we do not keep copies of your prompts, the media sent, or the output.
If you never use the AI features, none of this applies to you.
We use no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking of any kind. Firebase Authentication stores sign-in state in your browser so you are not signed out on every reload. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page while you pay.
Account data, credit, usage records and cloud projects are stored with Google Firebase in Google Cloud data centres in the European Union; our server functions run in Belgium. AI providers and Stripe may process data in other countries, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can:
You have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email info@bee-happy.club and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be signalled in the app.
